The e3c Hub is pleased to present a seminar with Yves Plourde, Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Course Director for the DESS and Master’s programs in Management and Sustainable Development at HEC Montréal.
The presentation will focus on climate and energy issues: the importance of a holistic approach to the learning experience.
Mr. Plourde holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Ivey Business School, and is interested in the strategic management of organizations in relation to climate change, and in climate change education. He has developed training courses on climate leadership and strategic management in relation to climate change for B.A.A., MBA and Master’s students, as well as practicing executives.
The presentation will focus on the importance of adopting a holistic approach to the learning experience when teaching about climate and energy issues. The presentation will be based on three concrete cases of teaching diverse audiences (MBAs, sustainability students and practicing leaders). Lessons learned from these cases will be presented, along with implications for communicating climate and energy issues in organizations.
