E3c Hub is pleased to present, in collaboration with GERAD, a seminar with Mathieu Boudreault, Professor in the Mathematics Department of the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada.
The seminar will focus on climate science through to financial risk management: physical and statistical modeling of hurricanes. In this presentation, we’ll take a look at some of the concepts involved in modeling natural disasters, in particular climate hazards using climate models. Next, we’ll discuss a model that simulates hurricanes and their impacts in the present and future climate.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will take place in a hybrid format: on Zoom and in room 4488, in the André-Aisenstadt Pavilion on the Université de Montréal campus (2920, chemin de la Tour, Montreal, Quebec, H3T 1J4).
